Do you use any Chemicals or Finishes on Products?
Our products are 100% organic cotton for all of our fabrics. Our fills are also free from chemicals and flame retardants
What is the Milkiiway Nursing Pillow made of?
We use organic cotton as the covers to keep our products from containing harmful chemicals. For our fills, we use kapok and millet husks, which can be replenished or replaced. This makes our pillow our organic and non-toxic!
Can I wash the Milkiiway Nursing Pillow?
The main cover is 100% removable and washable. We recommend washing with a mild detergent and tumble dry on low. The inner covers can be washed by removing the inner content. A good way to kill any bacteria is to leave them both out in the sun. If at any point the inside contents get severely wet or damaged reach out to our team. With our 1yr warranty we send all new filling.
To wash the inner covers:
1. For the kapok it's just a matter of stuffing and unstuffing the inner case - an added bonus your pillow will be fluffier.
2. For the millet husks we recommend having a funnel and an extra set of hands. First dump the husks into a big plastic container.
3.. One person will need to hold the pillow and funnel while the other dumps the husks back into the pillow.
How do I know my Size?
Use your regular t-shirt size before pregnancy as a general guide. For accurate sizing if you know your exact measurements before baby follow this size chart
My Pillow is too High?
If there's too much fill we recommend removing the kapok first as it's easier and what makes it fluffier. This can be put into the compost (or as stuffing for any side projects if you've got the time and babysitters).
Can I leave my Baby to Sleep on the Nursing Pillow?
Your baby’s safety matters to us. The Milkiiway Nursing Pillow is NOT a sleeping device, and should never be put in a bassinet or crib. As recommended by the AAP, NEVER leave your baby unsupervised in a Feeding Support, and NEVER use your Feeding Support as a sleep device.
